Brick Club

Introducing Brick Club! The club where young people can have fun building LEGO® models together.

Hello I am Danelle , Clinical Psychologist and parent. I have completed my Brick by Brick programme facilitator training and have now set up a Brick club at South Malling - we are now in our second term.

Brick club will be open to Turquoise Toucans, Blue Badgers, Orange Owls and Emerald Elephants and will cost £6 per session

What is Brick Club?

Brick Clubs are fun, playful and inclusive and are delivered using the Brick-by-Brick® programme methodology that has been developed by Play Included® and the LEGO Foundation. Our Brick Club Facilitator has received specialist training in the Brick-by-Brick® programme methodology to help support the children/young people taking part.

What happens at Brick Club?

Children and young people build LEGO models together in a small team. If three people build together, each person tries a different job in turn: the Engineer, the Supplier and the Builder. There are lots of LEGO building activities and members can build new designs with each other.

What are the outcomes from Brick Club?

Children can start to make friends, play together with others and grow in confidence. Research shows that children attending Brick Club for at least three months may see improvements in their emotional wellbeing, communication and social skills.
